As a drummer, teacher and author, Jost Nickel explores all aspects of rhythmand SONOR sought to incorporate every part of this experience into the Jost Nickel Signature beech snare drum. In his long career playing fully booked clinics, writing best-selling drum books and doing live performances with Jan Delay & Disko No. 1, Jost has developed a style all his own. He worked closely with SONOR to create this signature snare. It features a 14 x 6.25 German beechwood shell, constructed with 14 thin beech plies, adding up to a shell thickness of 9 mm. This deep layering ensures well-balanced mids and lows from every backbeat. And perhaps the most special highlight of this snare is the finish: the piano-black lacquer is cut with a silver sparkle stripe for a unique visual touch. The drum is adorned with an individual Jost Nickel badge to round off a world-class signature instrument.
