Influenced by his studies with Carl Orff he paid special attention to the fusion of instrumental education and contemporary music. A matter of particular concern for him was to write practical easily playable new music for children young people and amateur musicians – music that takes the technical competence of beginners into account and motivates them to concern themselves with new sounds rhythms and playing techniques. ‘All begins well’ is a small collection of easy pieces for trombone with piano accompaniment.
