GURLITT – ALBUM FOR THE YOUNG OP 140 FOR PIANO

Reminiscent of Schumann’s and Tchaikovsky’s collections with the same title, Gurlitt’s Album for the Young is a whimsical set of 20 character pieces. Each work contains a descriptive title, which is often reflective of nature or a standard piano composition. Many of the selections assist students in developing phrasing, articulation, finger dexterity and melodic voicing.
