FRANCK – PANIS ANGELICUS 2 SOPRANOS/PIANO

“Panis angelicus”, the French composer and organist of German-Belgian origin Csar Franck (1822-1890) originally composed for the tenor / soprano, organ, harp and cello. Later, he arranged the hymn several times afresh, and finally took it as an introduction to the Communion in his Mass in A major, op. Today, the piece is one of the most popular works of Csar Franck and, even though it has its liturgical origin in Eucharistic worship, is also sung in festivals such as weddings.
