This NeuSonic snare drum features Ludwigs proprietary 7-ply shell, with a 4-ply maple exterior and a 3-ply cherry interior. The cherry ply adds a warmth and playability to the familiar attack of maple while also adding extra “breath” to the drums overall tone. Handcrafted at Ludwigs factory in Monroe, NC, USA, this shell is their thinnest, measuring a mere 5.5 mm thick for superior resonance and sustain.
