From Brian Setzer’s early work the the Stray Cats to reviving big band swing with the Brian Setzer Orchestra, one common factor has been his Gretsch hollowbody electric. This G6120T-HR Brian Setzer Signature Hot Rod hollowbody version of Setzer’s performance guitar features a stripped-down control set. Combining vintage vibe with serious performance, this guitar is loaded with period-correct detail. From the ’59 headstock shape and pickguard to the trestle bracing of the single-cutaway hollowbody, it gets it right. Modern performance features include a compound-radius, rolled-edge ebony fingerboard on a soft-V neck and a pair of TV Jones Brian Setzer Signature Filter’Trons.
