D-Tronics TEQ01 Bass Drum Trigger

This electronic bass drum trigger with reverse beater and integrated pedal is responsive and powerful. It provides drummers and programmers with a high-quality yet low-cost alternative for triggering drum samples through an electronic drum brain, drum machine, or MIDI controller with external trigger inputs. It makes use of a tough Piezo transducer element as well as a robust but tactile rubber beater pad.

To trigger bass drum samples from Ableton and comparable programs, plug directly into a MIDI/USB controller such as the Alesis control pad or equivalent.

The low profile design makes a lot of sense and solves some of the problems seen with cheaper tower type kick drum pads, such as double triggering while moving around. This Pedal relies on the reverse beater’s downward inertia to hold it in place. Adjustable spurs, similar to a professional bass drum kick pedal, are also included in the design.
