The Peavey invective.120 is the first high-gain amplifier to deliver pristine cleans while maintaining the legendary high-gain performance of the Peavey 6505 series. Designed in collaboration with Misha Mansoor of Periphery, this flagship tube amp offers unprecedented versatility, making it perfect for players who demand extreme metal tones, flawless classic rock, deep jazz cleans, and everything in-between.

The invective.120 features three footswitchable channels (Clean, Crunch, Lead), each with its own distinctive sonic range. The included footswitch allows you to switch instantly between tones, while independent pre and post gain controls on the Crunch and Lead channels let you dial in precise tones. A shared low/mid/high EQ on Crunch/Lead and boost circuits modeled after popular pedals provide further tonal flexibility. The Clean channel maintains exceptional clarity and works flawlessly with your pedalboard for effects-driven sounds.

Under the hood, the invective.120 is powered by four matched JJ6L6GC output tubes with top-loaded bias test points and adjustment, paired with six gain-matched 12AX7 preamp tubes. The rear panel offers parallel speaker outputs with impedance selector (4, 8, 16 ), an MSDI XLR direct output with Level/Tone/Ground Lift, MIDI input and out/thru, two remote-switchable effects loops, half-power mode, and two 9V DC / 500 mA auxiliary power jacks for pedals. The included footswitch features nine presets to simplify performance setup.

The front panel provides complete control for shaping your tone. Both Lead and Crunch channels include shared switchable front-end boost, a fast-attack noise gate, and independent pre/post gain controls. Master Resonance, Presence, and Volume knobs ensure your overall sound is perfectly balanced. Blue jeweled pilot lights and clearly labeled switches indicate when the amp is ready to play.
